                                       A Closer Look at Keyboards

Most carpal tunnel syndrome cases originate
from improper keyboard design, placement,
and/or usage. Concerning usage .........
1. It is best to take frequent short breaks.
2. Try to strike the keys more gently.
3. Keep your hands and wrists still. Just move
       your fingers.
4. Trim your fingernails if they are so long that
your fingertips don't touch the keys --
otherwise it will force your wrist to twist.
5. Keep your keyboard clean so that dust, lint,
and food crumbs don't get into your keyboard
and make the keys less sensitive.
