"Psych Profiles"

Another Crop of Sleazy CEOs ?

After citing the names of recent high profile managers in trouble, the article goes on to say that a major recruiting firm and a personality-testing firm tested 1,400  managers at large U.S. companies. The test consisted of 28 "questions on rule compliance and interactions with others, to gauge their level of integrity." The result was that 1 out of 8 of those managers tested can be termed "high risk" according  to the authors. The same test when applied  to inmates at a high-security prison resulted in more than 6 out of 10 inmates testing  out as "high risk".

Our screening tool The Examiner (tm),  owned by our parent company and  administered nationwide exclusively by us,  has been used on over 11,400 job candidates  since 1988, and is much more comprehensive.

THE FOLLOWING ARE THE KEY FEATURES OF OUR SCREENING  TOOL --- THE EXAMINER (tm)

1. The Examiner (tm) is available ONLINE for your job candidate from any PC anywhere that has internet access. It takes your candidate 45-55 minutes to complete.

2. You request an Examiner session for a candidate by using the same Integrity Connection (tm) interface that you now use for requesting background checks.

3. You can request The Examiner (tm) so that:

(a) the Interview Guideline, the Honesty Gauge, and the Motivational and Attitudinal Report come directly to you so that you can easily do the Integrity Interview yourself, or

(b) you can set it up so that we do the Integrity Interview, and you receive our interview report along with the other materials in (a) above.

4. The Motivational and Attitudinal Report looks at 20 aspects of the candidate such as leadership, stress tolerance, compliance, attention to detail, productivity, and others, and tells you in plain English for each area what the candidate's motivations and attitudes are. You know a lot about the person before you even begin your interview.

5. The Honesty Gauge gives you a feel for the candidate's level of candor when he or she was answering the questions on the PC.  You can conduct your interview knowing how to gauge the candidate's answers.

6. The Interview Guide, which you use after you have reviewed the Motivational and Attitudinal Report, and the Honesty Gauge, gives you a series of questions to ask in each of 10 areas of increasing difficulty for the candidate to discuss. During the interview you are at a tremendous advantage, because for each question, you are merely confirming what the candidate has already answered on the computer. However, you will be amazed at the things that will be volunteered to you, and the level of detail of what the candidate says.

One of the most frequent questions that we hear is "Where should I check this candidate ?" The Examiner (tm) helps you with that because the candidate will tell you things that paint a bigger picture than your paperwork. With the additional information, you can make better decisions about where to conduct your background check and what items to check.

In this new era of corporate fraud and terrorism, it is extremely important that you get the best possible read on the people that you hire. It is also important to look deeper than you have in the past. You MUST see if you can determine what the real motivations and attitudes of your candidates are.
