Web Services

In early 2004, a national research firm found that 60% of corporate sites surveyed planned supply chain projects using Web Services technologies.

We provide Web Services support because a number of companies have existing HR Adminstration systems to which they want to add the ability to Background Check.  Our being a "Web Services" provider means that your IT staff can use software commands to export requests to us from your existing HR Administration system, and use other software commands to import the resulting reports, so that they will appear in your existing interface.

"background check requests directly from, and reports
directly to, your existing HR software or payroll system"

In late 2002, The Integrity Center, Inc. announced that its client interface, The Integrity Connection (tm), supports a set of standard calls using XML protocol to an Application Programming Interface (API) which our Clients reach on the Internet by addressing a particular IP address.   After multiple password verification, the API then accepts requests directly from, and returns reports directly to, the existing software system of our Client company.

While this is cutting edge technology, it is very important to our Clients because of the tremendous productivity improvements that they realize.    Once a client company has captured the data about an applicant in their existing HR Adminstration system, there is now no need for the Client company to retype any data in order to request a Background Check.    This technology also eliminates any potential inter-company hardware dependency.

In a simple case, assume that one of our prospective Clients has their own in-house HR Administration system and, for example, they want to be able to make calls to a specialized remote server to obtain county criminal conviction histories.   We have those specialized remote servers ready today along with the API and its protocol.   Any of our Clients can automate requests for freshly retrieved criminal conviction histories.    Actually, the API allows any Client company to request our full menu of offerings.    The Client company merely writes their application on their end to use the API protocol as they see fit.

Companies with their own existing HR Adminstration systems are now realizing that they can view us as a group of specialized servers that will respond to their automated calls requesting freshly retrieved background checking reports.   And, they see that they can also automate the retrieval of our reports directly into their HR Administration system.

Web Services are a new technology.   They are quickly becoming popular because of the standardization that XML protocol provides.   However, there are not many vendors who have the technology to offer background checking Web Services.   Computing and communications is one of our core competencies, and this is another example of our Client interfaces leading the industry.
