Dallas, Texas November 22, 2002 - The Integrity Center, inc., a high tech
risk management firm announces the online availability of a test for Speech
Perception in a Noisy Environment, ™.
Speech Perception in a Noisy Environment ™ was developed in 1994 by The Integrity
Center, Inc. using the services of the hearing center of a major university.
Employers are given a CDROM which they play via a headset for the subject, and
they enter the subject's responses into an online interface. Reports of the
test results are immediate upon completion of the test.
The test was developed for screening persons who work in an environment that
is noisy and who are required to be accurate in their communications. For
example, baggage screeners, emergency call center operators, and financial and
medical customer service personnel, must all be able to accurately understand
speech in a noisy environment. Pilots and air traffic controllers are particularly
critical examples of persons who must be able to perceive speech in a noisy
environment.
The CDROMs are FREE to employers, and the online monitoring and evaluation of
the tests is about $40/subject depending upon volume. Dr. John Allan, President,
himself a licensed audiometric equipment operator, said that "Speech Perception

test to evaluate a subject's ability to understand speech in a noisy environment."
